This event was part of the Global HIV/AIDS Solidarity Speaker Tour, organized by the Student Global AIDS Campaign, a national student and youth movement with chapters at high schools, colleges, and universities across the United States committed to bringing an end to HIV and AIDS in the U.S. and around the world through education, informed advocacy, media work, and direct action.

Sandra Mubiana Banda is an HIV/AIDS activist and researcher at the Centre for Infectious Disease Research in Zambia (CIDRZ), Lusaka.

Matthew Kavanagh is the co-director of Global Justice, an organization, which seeks to mobilize a movement of students and youth in the U.S. to promote socially and economically just solutions on global HIV/AIDS, trade, and child survival. GJ aims “to produce an immediate impact by promoting policies that strengthen global communities, and long-term change by empowering young people to become global justice activists for life.”
