“Bhopal Disaster”

Ryan Bodanyi began the Evans School Ph.D. in Public Policy and Management program in 2010. As the founder and Executive Director of Students for Bhopal, Bodanyi organized six thousand volunteers, spread across 50 U.S. campuses and five continents, to support the half-million survivors of one of the world’s worst-ever industrial catastrophes: the Bhopal chemical disaster. This international network helped survivors win $330 million in additional compensation, access to poison-free drinking water, and better medical care. Bodanyi has also worked for the Clean Air Task Force, Greenpeace, Clean Water Action, and the National Wildlife Federation.
