“Tweets from Tahrir – From Cyber World to Printed Page”
Nadia Idle is an Activism & Outreach Officer at War on Want, a global justice NGO based in London. She studied Anthropology, Theater and Biology at the American University in Cairo (AUC) and later obtained an MSc in Development Studies from School of Oriental and African Studies, London.
Co-editor of Tweets from Tahrir, Idle discussed the roles that Twitter played as a medium of relaying information during the first phase of the revolution, the process of and assembling the tweets to create a final printable narrative, and answer the question most commonly posed: why would you want to print tweets in a book?
