The Keith Haring Fellowship in Art and Activism brings a prominent scholar, activist, or artist to Bard
College each year, where they spend one semester in residence, teaching in the CCS Bard and Human Rights Programs, and pursuing  their own research project. The first Fellow, for academic year 2014-2105, is Jeanne van Heeswijk. Applicants for the inaugural year’s fellowship have been invited to reapply for the 2015-16 Haring Fellowship. In addition, a group of candidates will be nominated by an international committee of leaders in the fields of human rights and the arts, and those nominees will be invited to submit an application. The Fellow will be announced in April 2015.
